<p>In this lesson, tonebase Cello Lead Daniel Lelchuk and tonebase Piano Lead Dominic Cheli perform the third movement of Rachmaninoff's Cello Sonata.</p>

<p>In this lesson, we go deep into the technical and interpretive complications of the movement. Daniel Lelchuk shows us how to navigate the intricacies of the work, which range from how to plan emotional high points to how to pace ritardandi. We also learn about creating a deep, rich tone, which is crucial for a successful performance of this work.</p>

<p>Performance</p>

<p>In this lesson, Dominic Cheli, the Lead of Piano at tonebase, shows us how to navigate the complex world of the slow movement of the Rachmaninoff Sonata for Cello and Piano. We learn how to breathe with the cellist, how to follow the bow arm, and how to find the proper instrumental balance.</p>
