Ettore Causa, an Italian-born violist and professor of viola at the Yale School of Music, is renowned for his exceptional artistry, having won both the "P. Schidlof Prize" and the "J. Barbirolli Prize" for "the most beautiful sound" at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition. He has performed solo and in recitals at major venues like Carnegie Hall and the Zurich Tonhalle, and collaborated with distinguished musicians and ensembles. His acclaimed recordings include several Claves CDs, with his transcription of romantic pieces earning a prestigious “5 Diapasons” from the French magazine.
